Our next workshop is entitled: “Developmental Trauma Focused Therapies: Strategies to Enhance Resilience”. The presenters are Katie Fields, LMHC and Bliss Wargovich, PhD.
With the prevalence and impact of trauma, it is nearly impossible not to include trauma-informed therapies into our work with couples and families. This presentation will provide a brief overview of the wide variety of traumas that can influence human development and relationships. Presenters will share how they enhance resilience through trauma-focused therapies with children, adults, parents, and couples.
1. Identify how trauma can impact development.
2. Describe how adaptive behaviors are indicators of resilience.
3. Identify instruments for assessing trauma and resilience.
4. Describe interventions to enhance resilience.
